Compare with Google Trends
If I have multiple choice and need to choose one of them then use Google trend. Taking any decision it helps me. But how it helps? Let see an example. Suppose I have to chose one framework of PHP for development, from Zend, Cakephp and Codeigniter then I just simply enter these framework names in Google trend text area and submit it. What you get from Google trend is really interesting. It give detailed chart layout of each keyword you entered separated by comma (,).And i know the importance of Charts as I usually trade on share market.
This chart gives rating to each keyword. The first keyword always has 1.0. And depending on first keyword other are rated. You can change first rating parameter by using select box below the chart named “Rank buy”. In my case each keyword has following ranking.
Zend 1.00
Cakephp 0.23
Codeigniter 0.06
This means Zend is top of all. It means Zend framework is in use mostly. But if we look at Cakephp its graph growing upward from its origin in mid of 2005 to till date. And in the same period Zend growth is not so good and faced some ups and down. For Codeigniter the situation is different. Its growth is steady and consistent from start of 2006 to till date.
